Dr. Caroline Mercier has taught, designed and exhibited her work for more than 15 years. She is the recipient of a Les Masques award, the Quebecois equivalent to the Tony. She has worked on many sets in Hollywood and Las Vegas such as Cirque du Soleil. Her PhD Fine Artsis the first one of its kind in the Western World. She has been invited as a guest artist in Art Centers in England, Ireland, Indonesia and Thailand. She was asked to publish work on her last solo textile exhibit in Paris at the Talmart Gallery. She just came back from a 2 months residency at Les TarabatesTheatre in France.
As an educator, she was granted early tenure at CSU Stanislaus for her high commitment to students and the community. She has held roles such as Director for the MAIS program, Director of GE, Assessment officer, Faculty in residence and Department chair. She is certified by Trendimi, USITT, APASQ, as well as sat on the Governing Board of KCACTF,. She is the founder of CCA an innovative company promoting creativity as a business solution, and chief consultant for IPExpertswhile helping on a legal case for Victoria Secret.
