Invitation for BFSU International Summer Session 2017
BFSU International Summer Session is an international course programme which features in area studies and related disciplines in humanisites and social sciences.
BFSU ISS 2017 will be held from July 3rd to 28th, in BFSU, Beijing China.
This year, we sincerely welcome students from all over the world!
Our Courses
- Interdisciplinary courses – Provide 39 courses strictly selected from dozens of applications this year, ranging from economics, politics, language study, art, philosophy, literature, to area studies, international relations and Chinese studies.
- Various teaching languages – Cater for those with specific language interests, as most courses are taught in English while a few others in German and Spanish.
- Diversified teaching approaches – Employ a combination of lectures, student presentations, class discussions, and project work, to encourage exchange of ideas and to extend your knowledge of your chosen subjects.
- International learning atmosphere – Build an international community, to enhance learning, develop intercultural competence, and broaden your horizon.

- 39 experienced professors and associate professors who are leading figures in their fields, from internationally renowned universities
- From 15 countries including the USA, the UK, Canada, Germany, Australia, Holland, Spain, Ireland, Czech, Latvia, Serbia, Slovenia, Columbia, the United Arab Emirates and China
Studying at BFSU ISS
- Intensive study experience – Since the duration of the summer session is very short, courses will be taught intensively. All the courses are academically rigorous and require you to prepare for your studies in advance
- Language Requirement – Applicants must be able to understand and follow arguments presented in written and spoken English, German or Spanish at university level
- Certificate – You will receive a Transcript of your selected courses from BFSU if you have attended all classes and completed the professors' requirements.

Fees and Payment
Application Fee: 600 RMB
Tuition Fee: 4,000 RMB for one course (2 credits), 8,000 RMB for two courses (4 credits)
All BFSU degree students will enjoy application and tuition gratis!
For each BFSU partner university and Confucius Institute, two students will enjoy tuition waiver at the recommendation of their affiliated institution, and the other students will enjoy 15% discount of the Tuition Fee.
Other students will enjoy 10% discount if finishing payment before April 15, 2017.
