Introduction |
At the end of this course, the student will be able to write and speak basic conversational Standard Fijian. Topics to be covered include spelling and pronunciation, greetings, exclamations, pronouns, possession, noun phrase structure, verb phrase structure and elementary clause structure. Also included where appropriate will be references to Fijian culture and lifestyle. The course will be delivered using an informal highly interactive method (numbers permitting), and assessment will be by three weekly written tests worth 20% each and a final exam worth 40%. Tests and exams may have an oral component. |
