Introduction |
This course focuses on history of Europe since 1945 with initial attention on heritage of pre-War development and World War II. Course focuses on main aspects of political, social and economic development as well as discusses both sides of cold war Europe. Particular attention is given to critical moments in European development from consequences of cold war, through suppression of reform movements in Hungary or Czechoslovakia, decline of European states as colonial powers to rapid change of European political map since 1980s. Course offers introductory overview of Sino-European Relations as well. Lecturer describes and analyses European development up to recent years.
